IVORY COAST : THE DEATH OF PRIME MINISTER HAMED BAKAYOKO

Suffering from terminal cancer and hospitalised since early March at the American Hospital in Paris, Hamed Bakayoko had been transferred in a serious condition to an institution in Freiburg, Germany, on the morning of 6 March to undergo experimental treatment. He died on 10 March at the age of 56.
A transfer to Turkey, where there was talk of the Ivorian prime minister undergoing an emergency transplant, had also been considered during the day of 4 March, before being finally abandoned, as doctors considered that he was no longer operable. Read more HERE.
