In the absence of a passenger list, authorities have been relying on family members and survivors to report their whereabouts. Overnight they reduced to 15 the tally of people missing, down from an earlier count of twice that number. Of the 134 people who survived the crash on the Guatapé-El Peñol reservoir. Read more HERE.

Theresa MayAll 3 million EU citizens resident in Britain will have to apply for a “settled status” identity card after Brexit under Home Office proposals on their future rights.

A 15-page policy paper proposes a new “light touch” online system to process applications that will give applicants the same “indefinite leave to remain” status as many non-European nationals who have also lived in Britain for five years. The new EU “settled status” residence document will essentially be an identity card. The DUP leader, Arlene Foster, and MP Nigel Dodds arrive at 10 Downing Street.Talks on an informal coalition between the Conservatives and the Democratic Unionists have progressed well, the leader of the Northern Irish party has said following talks at Downing Street.

The positive words in a tweet from Arlene Foster came as the former prime minister, Sir John Major, warned Theresa May against making a parliamentary deal with the DUP, saying it could risk Northern Ireland’s peace process and cause resentment in other parts of the UK. Read more HERE.

London is facing renewed pressure over its dominance of the €1tn (£880bn)-a-day euro clearing market after the European Central Bank set out proposals aimed at giving it more oversight of the lucrative business.

The move by the Frankfurt-based ECB – the central bank for the 19 countries using the euro – follows a report by the European commission that called for the EU to have more powers over clearing of financial products denominated in euros after Brexit. Read more HERE.
